All Renters Must Follow these Safety Guidelines:

*Must be 21 to rent, experienced operators preferred.

*If born on or after 1/1/1988, a Boater Safety Course from any state is required.

*All drivers on Lake Lure must complete the Town of Lake Lure Safety Quiz and show proof of passing (screenshot or confirmation email.

*DO NOT OVERLOAD: Balance weight front-back and left to right.

*OBEY NO WAKE zones in all coves, marina, and areas marked with buoys. 

*No boat operation is allowed from dusk til dawn!

*Stay 75 feet away from other boats and yield to non-motorized vessels. 

*Children under 13 must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD).

*We love pets—bring them along ($25 cleaning fee applies)

*No towing is allowed from any rental boat, including tubes, skiers & boards.

*Seats should be used as intended: sit down and close gates; NO riding outside rails; no sitting at the bow with feet dangling; NO standing on, jumping, or diving from seats or seat back-rests.

*NO open containers of fortified wine, liquors, or mixed alcoholic beverages.

*NO smoking, no drugs, and no operation by anyone impaired.

*NO beaching the boats; mind the propeller in shallow water.

*NO trespassing—stay off private property.

*Do not pull on or step on the steering cable near the ladder. 

*DO NOT SHIFT THROTTLE from forward to reverse or vice versa without pausing in neutral, as this may incur damage to the engine.

*TURN OFF the engine while swimming and retract the swim ladder before operation.

*Personal property: take them with you ; we are not responsible for left items.

*Report emergencies to 911.
